Teaching Philosophy
Music is a unique language, which can be used to express one’s deepest and most heartfelt emotions. A musician, through performance, releases personal feelings in order to communicate with the audience, other musicians, and even the composer. As a viola instructor, my philosophy is to steer my students in imitating the natural human singing voice freely through their instrument in order to share, communicate, and express their ideas with others.

Viola Festival
Southern Miss Viola Studio has hosted viola festival regularly since 2009. Each year, students, teachers and viola amateurs, age ranging from 10 to 70, coming to Southern Miss campus to attend concerts, lectures and master classes presented by the guest artists.
